We believe together we can make a difference to the futures of Brain Cancer sufferers and their families.

This is the sentiment behind the Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer (CB4BC) campaign; one that the Cotton On Group wholeheartedly believes in.

This year marks the third year of the well-known campaign which exists to raise awareness and funds to fight brain cancer, a disease that kills more people under the age of 40 than any other cancer and more Australian children than any other disease. It is led by media personality Carrie Bickmore, whose husband sadly passed away from the disease.

In a show of support for the important cause the Group’s namesake brand, Cotton On, partnered with the 2018 campaign, taking on the role of producing this year’s beanies and caps which are for sale exclusively through the CottonOn & Co. website.

Cotton On Group Chief Financial Officer, Michael Hardwick said

Cotton On is incredibly proud to partner with Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer to deliver these amazing products. We are excited to bring our business expertise and reach to benefit CB4BC and the cause that it highlights.

And with 100% of all proceeds going toward vital brain cancer research, Hardwick adds

The partnership with CB4BC brings the Cotton On Group’s purpose to life; to make a positive difference to people’s lives within the communities we operate.

Recognising the significance of the cause, the Australian Government has committed to matching each and every fundraising dollar raised by CB4BC up to AUD$5 million toward the fight against brain cancer.

The 2018 CB4BC campaign launched nationwide on a live special edition of Channel Ten’s The Project hosted by Bickmore on Tuesday, May 1, raising more than AUD$2.1 million during the first hour of sales, a number that has since reached AUD$5.1 million.

Cotton On Group Global Support Centre and Distribution Centre team members rallied behind the campaign from the outset, purchasing more than 500 beanies and hats and contributing more than AUD $15,000 to towards helping brain cancer sufferers and their families.

To acknowledge their tremendous efforts Bickmore last week visited the Geelong based teams, where she thanked them for their involvement and contribution to bringing this year’s campaign to life and making it the most successful to date.

A limited number of caps and beanies are still available for purchase by visiting the CottonOn & Co website and we encourage supporters to wear a beanie and post a selfie via social media tagging #carriesbeanies4braincancer and @carriesb4bc to show their support and help raise awareness for the disease.

Together we truly can make a difference.
