In October 2016, the Geelong Cats and the Cotton On Group announced a new partnership. The global fashion powerhouse signed on as the club’s official on–and-off field apparel sponsor and the collaboration between the two local Geelong organisations is hitting new highs with the companies achieving great success together.

The new look Cats Shop, a concept led by the club and designed by the Group, opened in May as part of the redevelopment of the Charles Brownlow Stand at Simonds Stadium. Set over two levels, the new fit-out is Australia’s largest in-stadium team store and sets a benchmark across the league for a world-class customer experience.

Working in close partnership with the Cats, the Group’s strong understanding of consumer behavior has resulted in the creation of a seamless, dynamic and engaging shopping experience, which has resonated strongly with customers and led the club to achieve record sales during the first three home games earlier this year.

The new store is doubling match-day revenue compared to previous years with top selling products including COAR guernseys, polos and hooded jumpers.

Sam McGuane, Community Projects Manager at the Cotton On Group, was thrilled with the end result.

“As a born-and-bred Geelong retailer, we’re always looking for opportunities to support our local community, and are proud to have partnered with the Geelong Cats on the design of their new shop. We have an incredibly talented team of store designers and visual merchandisers at the Cotton On Group who worked in partnership with the Cats to bring to life a world-class retail experience for their fans and the broader community.”
