Typo Becomes a UK Citizen

Influencer event: the embossing station is a hit

Typo officially launched into the UK this month, with the opening of its online store Typo.com/UK.

Typo Creative Manager, Luke Slattery, anticipates the brand will do well in the UK given their unique products and accessible price point and hopes they will carve their own audience that want something new and different in the ecommerce space.

“We already have a significant number of UK customers within a loyal legion of global followers who live and breathe the Typo brand and that shop on our international Typo websites, so we have a good indication of what the market will want,” said Luke.

The online destination is the first phase of the UK launch, with stores to follow later in the year.

Typo completely decked out a Soho studio to introduce the brand to more than 90 local media and influencers. With exposed brick, dark floorboards and plenty of space, the studio was the perfect blank canvas to bring the brand to life.

Guests engaged with Typo across various touch points, with a life-sized colouring wall, a live artist creating chalk artwork and an embossing customization station.

This launch was only possibly thanks to an incredible collaborative effort across all areas of the business, including ecommerce, technology, distribution and of course the Typo team.
