Perks Customers experience the Great Barrier Reef with Cotton On Foundation
27th November, 2025
Across our Cotton On brands, we recognise the importance of connecting our customers to the work of Cotton On Foundation. This year, we found a way to bring that impact even closer.
Five lucky Cotton On Body Perks Members – along with their friends – were treated to an unforgettable trip to the Great Barrier Reef. They saw firsthand how their support is helping restore and protect the Reef, from the vibrant coral to the thriving marine life. Because in ten years, it won’t be the discounts they remember, it will be the moments spent snorkelling, exploring, and connecting with something truly inspiring.
Cotton On Body Brand Communications Manager Tiffany shares her experience at the Reef and what it meant to see the impact in action.
“Being able to see the real impact Foundation is having on the reef was a one-of-a-kind experience, a sentiment that I shared with the Perks members who all couldn’t believe how far that simple tote or water bottle purchase at the counter truly goes.
We spent two days with Citizens of the Reef and the Reef Cooperative learning about the Traditional Owners of the Sea Country, becoming citizen scientists to capture survey images for the Great Reef Census, and creating our own reef stars to restore coral rubble beds and support important new reef growth.
Being so close to the sea life, from the hundreds of coral in varying colours and textures to the sea turtles and fish that felt like we were swimming through a Pixar movie, made me realise how lucky we are in Australia to have the Great Barrier Reef on our doorstep and how crucial it is that we work to protect it for future generations.
Perks members couldn’t quite believe their shopping habits had led them to being able to experience this trip, creating a deep connection to brand that will stay with them long after the plane landed back home.
As a Cotton On Body team member, I felt proud to be able to showcase that we’re a business that doesn’t just say we’re doing good, but can show it in a tangible way. As a customer, I will be saying yes every single time I’m asked if I want to buy a Foundation tote or water.”
From surveying more than 740 unique reefs, to deploying over 900 Mars reef stars, to mobilising an online global community of 16,000 citizen scientists through the Great Reef Census, our commitment to protecting the Great Barrier Reef is only growing. Trips like this are a reminder of why this work matters.
When people see the Reef up close, they understand what’s at stake. Together with our partners, our teams, and customers who choose to support Cotton On Foundation, we’ll continue supporting the projects and people working every day to protect and restore the Great Barrier Reef, because it’s in our nature.
