Kindness in Action: 4 Cities, 1 Mission
28th November, 2025

From Los Angeles to New York City, Chicago to Miami — we teamed up with Born This Way Foundation, part of our Mental Health Collective, to bring Kindness in Action to life. Together, we created safe, empowering spaces for young people to connect, express themselves, and celebrate mental wellbeing.
Los Angeles — Strengthening How We Support One Another
A community workshop on care, connection, and support skills led by staff and our Youth Advisory Board,
followed by assembling self-care kits for trans and gender-diverse youth with The Laurel Foundation.
New York City — Centering Care and Allyship
A youth-led conversation highlighting our research and commitment to LGBTQ+ active allyship, featuring
Dr. Claudia-Santi Fernandes, Youth Advisory Board Member Rushil Johal, and poet Kayla Dudley.
Chicago — Spaces of Belonging
Over 140 youth came together at the Chicago Cultural Center with The Obama Foundation
and After School Matters for panels, performances, and creative expression focused on
mental health and belonging.
Miami — Healing Through Expression
In partnership with O, Miami, The Miami Foundation, and Guitars Over Guns, we closed
out the series with art, poetry, and storytelling that explored identity, creativity, and
community.
And there’s more to come.
Through our partnership with Born This Way Foundation, we’ll be announcing new local Kindness in Community partnerships in the UK and Brazil this December, continuing our mission to build kinder, braver communities around the world.
