Cotton On Kids X Cotton On Foundation Mama Health Movement

Every mama deserves a safe, supported and joyful pregnancy. That’s why Cotton On Kids and Cotton On Foundation are partnering to support mothers in Uganda throughout their pregnancy, birth and post-natal care, by providing access to maternal health outreach programs and baby mama kits.
From April 13th to May 15th, customers can purchase any COF item at a Kids store or Kids x COF products on CottonOnKids.com to support the Mama Health Movement, so we can provide quality maternal care to 700 mamas in Uganda.
Over the last 10 years, COF has helped support over 6,700 women with their maternal health through their outreach programs in Uganda. There are a number of reasons why mamas in the region may not be able to get the care they need in their maternal health journey including:
- Attached costs of delivery
- Distance from healthcare centres meaning women have to walk long distances
- Lack of reliable transport
- Preference for going to traditional services
- Shame preventing HIV positive mums from presenting at healthcare centres
- Lack of spousal support
With your help, each mama we are able to support will be able to access antenatal care, safe birth delivery and post-natal care which they otherwise may not have easy access to. Every mama will receive a Baby Mama pack that includes nappies, gauze, cotton, gloves, soap, and a baby wrap.
