Group introduce AFL fan gear for women and children

13th March, 2018

Just over a year since the Cotton On Group announced their partnership with the Geelong Cats and the Australian Football League, specifically the women’s competition, the Group have taken their partnership off the field with the introduction of an AFL range for fans.

Working closely with the AFL, who have a strong focus on celebrating women and kids since the AFLW launch in early 2017, the Group’s Community Projects team have created a range of apparel and accessories designed with their Cotton On, BODY and KIDS customers in mind.

The apparel is designed with nods to the favourite eight AFL clubs; Geelong, Carlton, Richmond, Collingwood, Essendon, West Coast, Adelaide and Hawthorn. Product spans from Cotton On denim jackets; BODY active tights, sleepwear and Super Soft hoodies; and KIDS tulle skirts, dresses and sleepwear; the most popular products from each brand were selected and an AFL twist added.

The 25 piece collection officially launched to the public on Monday, 12 March, just prior to the 2018 AFL season launch, and offers customers the option to customisation the denim jacket product by adding AFL team badges on the sleeve and back of the jacket.

AFL General Manager of Commercial, Kylie Rogers said women represent nearly half the AFL fan base and are an integral component of today’s game.

“The AFL is in an exciting phase with female participation up 76 per cent and now reaching over 30 per cent of overall participation numbers. Now, more than ever, women are engaged with Australian Football at all levels, and this new AFL on-trend fashion range further enables female fans to support their club in a contemporary and accessible way.”

The official club fan gear will be available exclusively from the Australian CottonOn & Co. e-Commerce site with prices ranging from AUD$4.99-$74.95.
