School holidays? No stress!

27th September, 2017

With school holidays in full swing, the Cotton On Group is excited to host the second of its School Holiday Programs from late-September.

In line with our family values, the program is geared towards supporting our working mums and dads. Running throughout the school holidays, the program offers children aged between four and 12 the opportunity to participate in a range of fun and educational-based activities such as footy clinics, trips to the farm, designing their own superheroes, kite making and even playing Quidditch.

Following on from the hugely successful pilot that ran in July, the program is based at Simond’s Stadium, home of the Geelong Cats, and is run by Kids Co. together with our own People and Performance team who collectively have over 15 years of teaching and childcare experience.

Mick, one of our parents whose son participated in the July program, shares his experience:

(My son) Leife had a great time. His regular after school and vacation care is at his school, so a change of scenery and meeting new kids were the highlights. I was so happy with the program, the staff were fantastic, attentive and the days included some awesome excursions. I would absolutely have Leife involved again!

The School Holiday Program was developed in response to feedback received through our regular team member engagement surveys, which we run every six months. When our teams speak, we love to listen!

The program aims to be fun and stimulating for kids and a stress buster for parents during the busy holiday period when juggling kids and career can be hardest. Best of all, it’s completely free.

The program sits alongside our other ‘people’ initiatives, including a robust health and wellness offering, on-site café The Common, and flexible working arrangements, which we’ve created to promote a healthy work/life balance for our teams.

It’s all part of our continuing journey to be one of the best places in the world to work.
