Cotton On Body launch activewear made from recycled coffee grind

If you’re a coffee lover, you’ll be pretty excited about Cotton On Body’s brand new Love You A Latte active wear range – made using recycled coffee grounds.

You’ve heard of fabric made from recycled plastic bottles, but what about recycled coffee grounds? When coffee is made, it leaves used coffee grounds that aren’t really used for anything. So the team at Cotton On Body have collaborated with suppliers to turn useless coffee grounds into something new.

The used coffee grounds are processed in a high-temperature, high-pressure environment to make yarn, which is then woven into recycled fabric that can be used in lots of different ways. It’s just one way that we as a business can contribute towards reducing food waste – giving us yet another reason to love coffee even more!
