A kinder world is our kinda world

UPDATE: Thank you for making October the kindest month of the year!
With your support, we raised AUD $1.6 million for Born This Way Foundation to support youth mental health, all over the globe.
The impact
With these funds, 20,000+ young people and members of their communities will earn their Be There Certificates. That’s 20,000+ people who will learn about mental health and how to support someone in their lives who might be struggling!
Additionally, funds raised will help Born This Way Foundation to reach young people and communities across the US and Australia, as well as in the 8 other countries our partnership spans (New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Brazil). This will include:
- Reaching young people through our 65 Kindness in Community Fund grantees and other community-based organizations as well as schools and universities.
- Reaching young people through youth ambassadors, who will be equipped to share about the resource with their peers.
Cotton On Foundation was recently named as one of the top 10 philanthropic funders financing global mental health. We’re incredibly proud, but as always, it’s a team effort. So, a huge thank you and congratulations to you on the role you’ve played in getting us here!
We’re so proud to announce that we are once again teaming up with Born This Way Foundation to reach young people globally with mental health resources to care for their own and others’ mental health.
From today until 31 October 2024, 100% of net proceeds from our exclusive range of “Kinder, Braver, Together” totes and badges will support Born This Way Foundation, with the goal of raising funds to support youth mental health.
Funds for this year’s campaign will be allocated to encourage young people globally to earn their Be There Certificate.
Last year’s powerful partnership helped us recruit over 40,000 people to create a Be There Certificate account and begin their mental literacy journey. If that number sounds like a lot, it is—40,000 people could fill the Globe Life Field in Texas! With these efforts, more than 50,000 people have earned their Be There Certificate since the launch of the program in 2022. That’s as many people that completed this year’s London Marathon.
Imagine a stadium full of people, a city filled with runners, all prepared to have safe, kind, and informed conversations about mental health. That’s what is possible when we work together to share this free, online mental health course that teaches people to recognise when someone might be struggling, understand their role in supporting that person, and learn how to connect them to the help they need and deserve.
You can support this year’s campaign by encouraging your community to earn their Be There Certificate and be part of a movement alongside tens of thousands of people working to normalise conversations about mental health and expand awareness of and access to resources.
