Say hello to our NEWest campus
22nd July, 2024
We’ve just opened a new combined support and distribution centre in New Zealand, set to enhance team engagement and customer experience in the region.
On Friday 12 July, after a blessing by local Iwi Ngāti Whātua, we officially opened the doors to our new 17,000 square meter New Zealand hub, just 15 minutes from Auckland’s CBD and airport.
Drawing on the success of our already established Australian and South African campuses, our Aotearoa campus is built to support our team to thrive. Team members can enjoy a fully equipped gym, comprehensive kitchen, large collaborative dining area, breakout area and outdoor event BBQ space. The facility also embraces the latest infrastructure and technology to underpin the safest working environment possible for our team and partners.
“Our New Zealand business is focused on caring for our team and delivering to our customers. We look after our Whanau, and we look to deliver our purpose, ‘to make a positive difference in people’s lives,’ every step of the way. Our new campus will drive engagement and growth, giving our people the opportunity to obsess over our customer more than ever before. Our people are passionate about doing Good, so we are excited to be supporting them with this new space as we drive impact in our communities and continue to deliver the products our customers love,” says Kerry Ashford, Country Manager, New Zealand.
The distribution centre is the perfect location for connectivity to ports, air, road and rail, and the Omnichannel hub includes new technology, advanced lighting and cooling systems, an in-house embroidery centre, and docks with ergonomic boom gates to support the handling of shipments and stock management processes for efficiency and stock integrity.
“Our new distribution centre is a powerhouse of potential for our New Zealand team and customer. We are set up for growth across our brands, eCommerce, marketplace and wholesale,” says Andy Sanderson, General Manager, Global Distribution. “Safety is also the cornerstone of the facility, with meticulous traffic management, safe working practices and advanced equipment ensuring a secure environment,” he says.
On our mission to become carbon neutral across direct carbon emissions and switch to 100% renewable energy across all operations by 2030, we’re proud that 96% of our New Zealand operations are powered by renewable energy and that this new campus is targeting a five-star green star rating.
Thank you to our teams and Goodman Group for bringing this campus to life. We can’t wait to see Team NZ bring the fun, share the product love and care for one another in this new, exciting space.
