When it comes to sustainability, we’ve got big goals, and we believe in them.

Our values and ethical framework guide our decision making at every turn – not just because it’s the right thing to do but because it’s simply the best way to do business.

Operating with integrity and ‘doing the right thing’ has been embedded in how we do business since day one.

It remains at the core of our operations today. As a global retailer, we know our responsibility goes far beyond just selling clothes. We’re determined to use our business to have a positive impact on people, communities and the planet.

The environments in which our products are made and the materials used to make them are incredibly important to us.

We have a responsibility to our customers, our people, our suppliers and our business partners globally to provide transparency across our operations and assurances on the way we conduct business, as we genuinely believe it is the right thing to do. Before partnering with a supplier, we ensure they understand how to adhere to our 14 Rules to Trade and why the rules are important to ensure an ethical and sustainable business. This code of conduct covers important issues such as working conditions, the prohibition of child labour, bribery and corruption, and the environment. Each year, the Cotton On Group conducts hundreds of audits to ensure the 14 Rules to Trade are upheld.

We aim to provide our customers with the products they want at the right price, while ensuring these products are designed in line with the cultural values and legal requirements of the countries in which we operate.

We have a large team of talented designers across our brands, who deliver fun, fashionable products independently created for our customers. We educate our people and suppliers on the importance of ensuring compliance and have clearly defined processes in place to adhere to the individual requirements set out by each region. As we grow, we continually evaluate our approach to ensure we meet all ethical product requirements legally, safely and responsibly.

Working in partnership with our suppliers has seen us improve our sourcing and manufacturing procedures.

As a retail business leader, we are continually looking to improve the way we do business. Together with our supplier base we continue to work towards full traceability and transparency within our supply chain. Our success is thanks to the close working relationships and strong two-way dialogue we have with our suppliers.

Our commitment to the environment is always front of mind and we are constantly on the hunt for ways we can reduce our footprint.

Our Ethical Sourcing Program includes various initiatives that are geared towards preserving water, reducing waste and conserving energy, all while ensuring we have a positive social and economic impact on communities around the world.
