Your contribution is supporting students at
Bwe K’Lar to receive a quality education
Let’s take a look at the impact you’re helping to create!
BKL Primary supports 250–300 students from early years through Year 9 and is located along the Thai–Myanmar border, providing a safe and nurturing learning environment for children affected by decades of armed conflict in Myanmar.
Over the past three years, the school has prioritised creative, student-centred teaching to support wellbeing and academic progress, recognising that students learn best when they can express themselves.
In 2025, this focus on 21st-century learning has come to life, with teachers experimenting with collaborative, project-based approaches – resulting in classrooms buzzing with group work, student-led performances, and goal-setting that keeps learners motivated and engaged.
In such a complex region, contributions through 365 Giving make a powerful difference – directly supporting innovative teaching and giving students the opportunity to learn, express themselves, and become the future leaders of tomorrow.
We caught up with Yim, Thailand Country Manger and Sarah Dowell, Foundation Education Manager for an update on Bwe K’Lar Learning Center.
Yim is excited to head into the new academic year and an influx of new students, whilst Sarah has wrapped up a week of teacher training focused on student wellbeing.
