Agriculture College
Mbuye Agriculture College provides vocational education to students in the Masaka region. The agriculture industry is the biggest employer in Uganda, so our partnership with Mbuye is an important one to support students into meaningful employment.

Basic Necessities
All students at COF-supported schools are provided with two nutritious meals per day, cooked on-site, and clean drinking water from purpose-built Rhino tanks installed at each school.

Great Barrier Reef
We support Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef and the Reef Cooperative’s work to protect reefs and marine wildlife to maintain diverse ecosystems. This includes research, building capacity of local indigneous ranger groups, valuing their knowledge systems, and regenerating coral reefs.

We support three health centres in Uganda to better support community members with positive health outcomes through on site health care services and community outreach training.

Since 2007, we’ve renovated 24 schools in the Rakai and Lwengo districts of Uganda to create safe, inspiring spaces for students to learn.

In 2021, the construction of Ethekwini Primary School was completed. Construction at Dr JL Dube Secondary School will be completed in 2023. Both school renovations include large classrooms with IT capabilities, ample sports facilities and expansive multi-purpose areas for school events.

Wellbeing camps bring together local experts and our great mates at LifeChanger to support university or vocational scholarship students to better understand their mental health, and learn how they can support their friends and family through a tough time.

We have partnered with Mental Health Foundation New Zealand to support Pink Shirt Day. This year, our partnership raised $650,000 to support the positive wellbeing of all kiwis through reducing stigma surrounding mental health and addressing bullying among young people.

The Retail Academy is a series of workshops that give students the 101 of what it takes to work in Retail, culminating in real world job opportunities in Cotton On stores.

Support for Girls Education
We support girls to stay in school by prioitising menstrual hygiene education talks and by distributing reusable pads. In addition, we provide training about how to make reusable pads, and support three Girl Up clubs across three schools to educate and advocate for gender justice and social change, and create a meaningful impact in their communities.

Teachers and leaders at COF-supported schools will commence 21st Century Learning training, enabling them to better support students to learn the life skills they need to succeed in the 21st Century, such as collaboration, problem-solving and communication.

Teachers in early childhood development centres will participate in training for – and implement – play-based learning to support childrens’ physical, social, emotional and cognitive development. This will be aligned with the Thai curriculum and support their educational pathways.
